When reviewing a proof, there are often different members of the proofing workflow that have different responsibilities. GoProof incorporates these different roles within the system enabling a quick and efficient review process.
Publishers are the proof-senders, usually a designer. They upload proofs for review and will receive the proof feedback from the collaborators in order to make the amends.
Reviewers are one of the role types that fall under the collaborator umbrella. Reviewers are able to add their comments and feedback to a proof
Gatekeepers are like Reviewers but with more responsibility. They are the last person in the workflow responsible for sending the proof back to Publishers to request amendments or sign proofs off once they are happy with them.
Gatekeepers can also invite more people to see proofs and change user roles if required.
Observers, another role that falls under the collaborator term. This read-only access is ideal for occasional sharing or allowing someone to see proofs without affecting the review process.
The Account Manager's role is to liaise between the Publisher and the Collaborator. Account managers receive proofs from a publisher. They have the opportunity to screen the proof before sending the proof to the collaborator for review.
A Copy editor has the ability to edit proof text directly. The publisher is then invited to review the text change requests, where they can import the changes directly into the InDesign or Illustrator document.
